FMJGA TOURNAMENTS
The Fort Mill Junior Golf Association will be conducting the first Spring Event on Saturday, March 2nd on the practice putting green of the FMGC. The format will be a "March Madness" Match Play Putting Tournament. Golfers can sign up and then be paired against an opponent and the brackets will be played until completion. First Putt will begin at 11am and there is no cost for FMJGA members ($10 for non-members). Please sign up by contacting PGA Professional Brent Reneau via email or phone.
FMJGA LEAGUE PLAY
League play begins Saturday, March 10th at 2:00pm at the FMGC. Sign up for play by 1:30 PM the day of play. Participants will be placed into flights based on age and skill level. League participation is only open to members of the FMJGA and guests. Prizes will be awarded each league season by averaging 6 scores played on Saturdays throughout that league session.
GOLF CLINICS
We will conduct a series of clinics for beginning and intermediate golfers. Clinics will begin on Saturday, March 3rd from 3 to 4:00PM and 4:15 to 5:15pm at the Accelerated Golf Academy and will run through the end of May. Clinics will be in a series of 6 sessions covering instruction in basic golfing principles, full swing, short game, and golf course etiquette. Cost of $60 for each series includes usage of equipment, range balls, and prizes. Golfers may come one week at a time for the cost of $15 per session. FMJGA MEETINGS
An important element of our junior program is monthly meetings discussing key aspects of golf. This year, it is the mission of the association to acquire the services of speakers in the areas of college golf, professional tour players, fitness, rules of golf, and many more. ***CHECK this site or the bulletin board for continuing details.
